Playing basketball gives people with disabilities and disengaged youth an opportunity to develop greater confidence, strength and skills, make new friends, learn about teamwork and, perhaps win a few trophies. The emphasis is on creating a supportive, social, inclusive and fun environment.

 

The Doncaster All Abilities Basketball (DAAB) competition is one of Australia's most successful basketball programs for people with a disability. Established and run by the local community for two decades, DAAB has grown into a 36 team competition with over 330 plus participants with a championship and 6 other divisions.

 

The competition is played on Thursday evenings at Mullum Mullum Stadium, 31 Springvale Road, Donvale. Competition is open to people aged 6 years and up.
